What if..?

We are often told that there was a reason we had Sam. That he was deliberately given to us. We were chosen to be his parents because we are the best people to look after him. Because we are strong enough to cope.

I saw this on Single dad, disabled daughter’s blog and it made me stop and think:

But whatever the case, I wouldn’t swap my boy for the world.

  1. Don’t believe it. My mum, a.k.a Krakatoa, is not strong but very weak & infantile yet I’m batty & a handful with new things wrong with me as the yrs go by.

  3. i have often been told the same, that a special daughter deserves special parents, that God has entrusted her to us, that we wouldn’t be given more than we can handle, but there are days when i struggle to accept this. i am told that i am brave – and i found this quote by helen keller “We would never learn to be brave and patient if there were only joy in the world” – i would take more joy any day…

  4. I read a quote somewhere that said “I know God only gives people things he think they can handle, I just wish he didn’t trust me so much!”
    That made me smile
